ANIMISM is a magazine that celebrates collecting through the worlds of hoarders, collectors, and curators who transform fashion objects into extensions of identity. Through intimate stories and striking visuals, it explores the emotional bond between object and owner—where every collection becomes a narrative and every object a relic.
Created with Maria Baros during my Master in Art Direction at Polimoda, the project responds to the speed of contemporary fashion by slowing down. ANIMISM shifts the focus back to objects: their meaning, their history, and their presence within chaotic personal environments, before isolating them against a stark white background to reveal their true essence.
